Info
Rainwater recycling means that you use rainwater instead of
expensive tap water for several household tasks.
It is not that difficult. You buy a rainwater tank, install
it somewhere in the ground and make a connection with the gutter.
After a while the tank will be filled with rainwater. It
is perfect to use it inside and outside. You need a pump. The
rainwater has to be driven from the tank to several taps.
You can also provide the recycling system with several
interesting options. A rainwater system is really an investment.
The government has calculated that each person uses 119 litre water
a day. If you use tap water for this, you will pay a fortune.
It is a pity if you realize that the half of the water we use
can be replaced by rainwater.
Water Expenditure

Why using rainwater?
Did you take a good look at the diagram? You can make your own
calculation and realize that your expenditure can be reduced to
50%. A rainwater recycling system is never a useless cost. On the
contrary, after a while the system repays it itself and in the long
term you will save a lot of money on your lower water bills.
Moreover, your effort helps nature thanks to the lower water
expenditure.
Operation

A rainwater tank receives the rainwater from the gutter. The
tank will be filled gradually. When the tank is filled, the water
that is coming in will run over to the ditch or the sewerage.
The water that is coming in has to stay as clean as possible. If
there are any leaves in the tank, they will rot and give an
unpleasant fragrance to the water. To prevent regular cleaning, we
advise installing a rainwater filter.
Where using rainwater?
Rainwater is used in following household applications:
- Garden
- Toilets
- Washing-machines
By installing special filters, rainwater can be used for
personal hygiene.
